Jahangir Mohammed of the Ayaan Institute argues that President Donald Trump’s “Gaza Peace Plan” has nothing to do with peace, and everything to do with saving Israel and Zionism.
Israel, the US, and the UK are entities that have been on the same side, and are responsible for the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.
Their leaders and political parties are all religiously and politically devoted to Zionist Jewish supremacy. They are not impartial, and therefore cannot serve as mediators or peacemakers, nor can they be trusted.
The Gulf states are not sovereign; they are part of the US empire and did not even use any of their wealth against Israel, as was their religiously mandated obligation.
The Palestinian and Muslim people cannot trust any of them.
For two years, Israel has set out to defeat the Palestinian resistance militarily and free hostages. It failed to do so on the battlefield.
Israel has attempted to drive the Palestinians out of Gaza and failed. It has tried to liquidate them all and failed, but has committed all kinds of crimes against humanity and genocide for two years.

Israel has destroyed all means of livelihood and infrastructure in Gaza, but still, the Palestinians stayed. The whole world has turned against Israel. Even its own reservists and genocidal IDF no longer want to fight.
Trump’s ‘Gaza peace plan’
Trump’s 21-point plan is, in reality, is a plan to help Israel achieve what it could not on the battlefield through diplomatic means and grant it a victory.
It is a means for Israel to continue permanent occupation, colonisation, and military domination of Palestine and the region, and to escape responsibility for its crimes.
The “Board of Peace” is just another version of the colonial British Mandate, and both Trump and Blair are Zionists who will continue to facilitate Zionism in Gaza and the region.
So it will just be another Zionist occupation and colonisation of Gaza. What happened to the UN resolution for the occupiers to end their occupation?
What happens to the West Bank, which is being ethnically cleansed, where over a thousand Palestinians have been killed?
This is not a route to peace, but an attempt to save Israel and Zionism, with an ultimatum to the Palestinians that Israel will be allowed to do what it wants if they reject Trump’s plan – as if Israel has not already been doing that.
The Gulf states are a weakness for the Palestinian people. The primary concern of the Arabian oligarchs is to return to peace, allowing them to continue growing even wealthier, and expanding their investments with American and Jewish oligarchs.
There can be no greater humiliation for the Arab and Muslim world than appointing the war criminal Tony Blair to the Board of so-called Peace — a man who has been responsible for destroying more Arab and Muslim lives than anyone else.
