Afghan officials and citizens have condemned Prince Harry as a “war criminal” after he admitted killing 25 Afghans while he was a soldier during the Nato-led occupation of the country.
Responding to revelations in the prince’s book that he killed 25 Taliban fighters, Anas Haqqani, a senior aide to the Interior Minister, tweeted: “Mr Harry! The ones you killed were not chess pieces, they were humans; they had families who were waiting for their return.
“Among the killers of Afghans, not many have your decency to reveal their conscience and confess to their war crimes.”
Another Islamic Emirate official, Suhail Shaheen, head of the group’s political office, told media that Prince Harry had “committed a crime against humanity.”
He said: “They were freedom fighters of their country, you were invaders. Their cause was legitimate. They were heroes of the people, but you were their enemy.”
He also said Harry ought to be questioned by the “court for crimes against humanity” and said the people of his country “cursed” the royal.
And IEA Vice-President of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bilal Karimi, added on Twitter: “Every occupier of the country” in Afghanistan has a story of these kinds of crimes.

Molvi Shafiq Moj told us: “These were all war crimes that Prince Harry committed under the name of fighting terrorism. It was a kind of practice and training for NATO and American soldiers to attack and test their weapons. In the name of the army, the police, and Talib you killed Afghans and you tested your weapons.
“Finally, you say with pride that you went to war in a country called Afghanistan, you proudly say you fought with innocents and killed the sinless. Be proud, but be afraid of the day when such a war takes hold of you. Finally, be afraid of God. The God of all is One and He has no partners.”
Hayatullah Omar said: “Where are the inhuman rights of your own handiwork, since America and NATO cowards ignore and hide the crimes of their army in Afghanistan. Even their own soldiers justify their crimes and make stories and books. There is no country that has not killed an Afghan.”
