Israel’s relentless violations of the US-led Gaza ceasefire deal has left over three hundred Palestinians dead and hundreds more wounded, raising fears of breakdown of the fragile truce.
The Gaza Media Office reported that the Israeli army carried out 497 violations since the ceasefire took effect.
The office said the attacks killed 342 victims and wounded 875. It stated that the pattern amounts to a “flagrant breach” of international humanitarian law and the humanitarian protocol attached to the ceasefire deal.
The office added that 27 violations were recorded on Saturday alone, resulting in 24 deaths and 87 injuries.
A reported released by the Gaza-based outfit outlined a series of evidences that they say showcases that Israel is undermining the agreement.
They reported 142 shootings targeting civilians, homes, and displacement tents. They also documented 21 ground incursions beyond what is known as the yellow line. Officials said there were 228 air, artillery, and ground strikes and 100 demolitions of civilian homes and structures.
In addition, the media office claimed that 35 Palestinians have been detained in raids and incursions.

It accused Israel of trying to “create a bloody new reality that threatens security and stability in the Gaza Strip.” The Gaza-based Civil Defence also earlier reported that at least 22 Palestinians were killed Saturday in Israeli airstrikes that hit homes and a vehicle in several Gaza areas.

Currently, Israel continues to occupy more than half of the Gaza Strip under the ceasefire deal.
A so-called “yellow line” now separates areas under Israeli regime control from those inhabited by Palestinians.
It has been widely reported that the Israeli army has increased attacks on the Palestinians side of the line. These attacks often leave unarmed Palestinian civilians killed or injured, sparking fresh global outrage.
Saturday’s deadly incident fits a broader trend, where each new Israeli attack exposes a failure of the brokering powers of the peace deal to enforce the protections expected under the agreement for the Palestinians.
Since October 2023, the Israeli army has killed nearly, 70000 victims in Gaza, primarily women and children. It has injured more than 170800 and reduced most parts of the enclave to rubble.
Authorities say the onslaught stopped under a ceasefire deal announced by United States President Donald Trump. They argue that recent violations show that the halt in fighting has not held in practice.
They warn that unless the agreement is enforced, civilian casualties will continue to rise and destruction will deepen across the strip.
Hamas has released 20 Israeli captives alive and handed over the remains of 27 out of 28, most of them Israelis, since the ceasefire. Israel, however, claimed that one of the received bodies did not match any of its listed captives.
Hamas has warned in past interviews with Western media that if the ceasefire doesn’t prove that it will end Israeli kills of Palestinians that the armed group would return to fighting.
