Türkiye‘s new social media platform, NEXT Sosyal, has already surpassed one million users.
NEXT Sosyal entered the public domain on July 4 with the release of its beta version.
Created under the leadership of the Türkiye Technology Team Foundation, the platform is designed to provide a secure and user-friendly environment.
Developers emphasised that it is free of misinformation, profanity, bot accounts and manipulative algorithms.
At a time when users are questioning the reliability of global networks, NEXT Sosyal has positioned itself as a local alternative that prioritises security and reliability.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan brought further visibility to the project when he made his first post on August 18. Quoting lines from poet Erdem Bayazıt: “A flower sprouted between concrete walls,” Erdogan added the phrase “Are you ready?” along with the hashtag “We’re starting.”
His post also included emojis of the Turkish flag, the Earth and a rocket

Erdogan’s participation showed official support for the platform and highlighted its role in Türkiye’s wider technology drive.

By mid-August, Selçuk Bayraktar, chairman of the TEKNOFEST Executive Board and trustee of the Türkiye Technology Team Foundation, announced that NEXT Sosyal had surpassed one million registered users. He called it “Türkiye’s most social platform.”
To mark the milestone, Bayraktar announced a prize giveaway for posts made with the hashtag #NSosyalBenim (#NSosyal is mine) before August 22. The initiative aimed to reward early participants and encourage more engagement.
NEXT Sosyal soon climbed to the top of the “social network” category in mobile app stores.
The application is designed mainly for sharing news, technology, lifestyle and current events. Its developers noted that it allows users to express themselves freely without manipulative algorithms shaping their experience.
A key innovation that distinguishes NEXT Sosyal is its use of artificial intelligence. The platform integrates T3 AI, a large language model created jointly by the T3 Foundation and Baykar tech. This system interacts with users by responding quickly to tagged posts, adding to engagement.
