Group of men throw water at two Muslim women outside Southampton mosque

CCTV footage showing two Muslim women entering a mosque in Southampton after a group of men in a car threw water at them.

The incident took place outside Bashir Ahmed Masjid on Tuesday.

The mosque, in the city’s Portswood district, has issued a safety warning to worshippers.

Police described the women as “understandably shaken” while on Facebook the mosque shared their fears that a subsequent attack could involve acid.
