American Islamophobe Jake Lang embroiled in ‘underage texts’ scandal

Notorious American far-right Islamophobe and Quran desecrator Jake Lang has become embroiled in a “catch-a-predator” scandal after activists leaked private messages online allegedly showing Lang “flirting” with a minor in a private chat.

Over the past week, screenshots purportedly showing Lang texting a person claiming to be 15-years-old girl have gone viral on Instagram and Reddit, with Lang allegedly commenting on their age in ways critics say were inappropriate.

Lang, who is well known for his aggressive anti-Islam activism and support for Israel, has faced a backlash online and calls for his arrest amid the damning accusations.

According to the shared screenshots, the conversation between Lang and the fake girl, whom he referred to as “baby” and “sweetie”, dated back to at least November. But it began to accelerate in early February as Lang tried to nail down the girl’s exact age.

In a video post on Instagram, an activist who goes by the name TheZerggg, claimed that he got a “decoy” to write to Lang, posing as a pretend teenage girl.

The video shows screenshots of an alleged conversation between Lang and the decoy which read:

“I might be too young for u lol,” the decoy wrote.

“How old are you bby?” Lang allegedly responded, adding “unless you are under 18 I don’t care haha.”

“I’m 15 lol,” the underage persona wrote back.

Having just set his age minimum at 18, Lang, age 30, responded: “When do you turn 16?”

“In 6 months,” she replied.

At this point, the activist, posing as the teenager, attempted to assure Lang.

“I won’t get u in trouble if that’s what u r worried about. I can keep a secret.”

Lang “hearted” the message. “What state do you live in?” he asked. “I can’t see you til your 16.”

Amid a growing storm online, Lang responded to the screenshots with a post on X saying that it was “phishing scam” that he was subjected to. He accused Nick Fuentes’ supporters, known as groypers, of orchestrating a trap.

“Texts between ALEX ROSEN and myself this morning, Nice fake set up groypers- but I wouldn’t even allow this person to attend my protests until they were 16 Nothing else was discussed except going to a protest,” he wrote. “Obvious phishing scam that my team caught right away & deterred.”

Nick Fuentes is a rival far-right commentator in the US who opposes Israel First elements within the pro-Trump MAGA movement. According to reports, Lang denies any wrongdoing in relation to the conversation. He has also claimed that the conversation was handled by “his team” who manage his social media. Lang has promised action from his lawyers.

Alex Rosen is the founder of the Houston-based organisation Predator Poachers, which conducts sting operations on adults who seek sexual activities with minors. According to Lang’s X account, he was questioned by Rosen via text about the accusations publish online.

Who is Jake Lang?

Jake Lang is a far-right American activist and MAGA supporter who has taken part in several protests linked to anti-Muslim and anti-immigration movements in the United States.

He has appeared at demonstrations organised by groups that strongly oppose Islam and Muslim immigration, and he has shared messages online warning about what he describes as the “threat” of Islam in the West. Lang often described Muslims as “rapists” and “pedophile worshippers.”

Critics say his activism promotes hostility toward Muslim communities and fuels negative stereotypes about Islam. He has also been widely accused of being linked to Israel via the “Israel First movement”.

His public statements and protest appearances have therefore drawn concern from Muslim civil rights advocates, who argue that such rhetoric contributes to growing Islamophobia in parts of American political activism.

In December 2025, Lang travelled to Dearborn, Michigan, to conduct a Quran desecration stunt in an area known for a strong community of Arab-Americans.

Later, he travelled to Texas where he held up a pig outside a major mosque and, again, performed a Quran desecration stunt which he filmed and published on X.

His efforts sparked a wave of protests across the Islamic world, prompting Lang to claim online that a fatwa ordering Muslims to kill him had been issued by senior leaders in the Yemeni Houthi movement.

In February 2026, Lang showed up in Minnesota, a city with a strong community of Somali-Americans, and began inciting against locals there amid tensions over ICE activity in the area. He was filmed being chased away by anti-racism activists during one of his Islamophobic protests.
