British far-right activist, Islamophobe and riot inciter Tommy Robinson has been invited to visit Israel by Diaspora Minister Amichai Chikli.

Robinson, who is a serial liar and has a history of criminal convictions, plans to travel to Israel immediately following his criminal trial on October 13, with the Israeli government covering his flight and hotel costs.

Robinson’s response, detailed in a lengthy X post, confirmed his acceptance, outlining a packed itinerary that includes visits to Jerusalem, the occupied West Bank, the site of the Nova Festival attacked on October 7, 2023, Yad Vashem, and the Zionist Jabotinsky Institute.

He also plans to meet Israeli government leaders and explore Christian holy sites, reflecting his dual identity as a “proud British patriot and Zionist.”

Robinson framed the trip as a stand against a shared enemy — Islamic jihad — citing the Manchester synagogue attack and Hamas’s “stated goal of a global caliphate.”

Tommy Robinson has long been pro-Israel and in 2023 he publicly declared himself a Zionist and praised “Israel’s resilience against terrorism.”

He has repeatedly argued that Jews deserve a legitimate ancestral homeland, contrasting this with the 55 Muslim-majority nations.

This aligns with his broader narrative of “defending Western civilisation against radical Islam,” viewing Israel as a frontline state in this struggle.

Robinson has also expressed admiration for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, citing him as a “great leader” and linking this to his planned visit to the Jabotinsky Institute, which honours the ideological roots of Netanyahu’s Likud party.

In his post, Robinson reiterated his belief that “if Israel falls, we all fall,” linking the Manchester attack to a broader “jihadist threat.”

Earlier, in an X post, Israeli Diaspora Minister Amichai Chikli announced Robinson’s invitation, stating: “In the wake of the horrific Manchester terrorist attack, Israel and the Jewish people stand firmly with our allies in the United Kingdom. On behalf of the State of Israel, I am proud to host British patriot @TRobinsonNewEra who will visit Israel in mid-October.”

He described Robinson as “a courageous leader on the front line against radical Islam” and a “true friend of Israel and the Jewish people, unafraid to speak the truth and confront hate.”

Chikli emphasised the need to “strengthen bonds with allies who refuse to be silent” amid rising European antisemitism, framing the invitation as a gesture of solidarity.

In an earlier X post reported by Jewish News, Chikli praised a recent London hate march organised by Robinson, calling it “beautiful” and saluting “every patriot who marched.” He credited Robinson for his leadership.

In 2022, Amichai Chikli joined Likud, aligning with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s right-wing agenda. His appointment as Minister of Diaspora Affairs in 2023 reflected his focus on Jewish diaspora issues and “combating antisemitism globally.”

His role as Diaspora Minister involves managing relations with Jewish communities worldwide, a task he approaches with a focus on security and identity, as seen in his June 2025 Daily Mail interview urging British Jews to consider aliyah due to rising antisemitism.
