An ex-British soldier who racially abused his Sikh neighbours by calling them “ISIS bitches” and “dirty Pakis” has been jailed for 10 months, the Metro reports.
Christopher Blurton, 51, launched racist rants at his two female neighbours and threatened to “slice them up” over a three-month period in 2015.
He also sent the women a note complaining about the condition of their garden in which he allegedly stated they were members of ISIS.
At first, Blurton denied racially aggravated harassment between June 28 and August 19 last year but was found guilty last Friday.
Giving evidence at Derby Crown Court, the victims said they moved into the house in 2014 and initially had no problems.
The abuse stopped once police were called but it started again after a period of time.
The court heard how Blurton would shout abuse from his garden and home, yelling “dirty Pakis”, “ISIS slags” and saying he would “burn the holy Quran” and “slice them up”.

A neighbour said: “(It) will be quiet and then we would hear racist remarks such as ‘hope the dirty Pakis die’.”
But Blurton claimed he was shouting at his TV and a probation officer said he would drink five times a week.
He also denied writing “ISIS” on a note to them complaining about the state of their garden.
Clive Stockwell, defending, said his client had a drinking problem.
Sentencing, Recorder Adrian Redgrave said Blurton showed “not the faintest glimmer of remorse”.
Mr Redgrave said: “You frightened these two young women. They felt that they needed to move out. Your criminal record shows that you have resorted to violence in the past and had committed offences when in drink.”
He added that Blurton acted in that way towards the women because they were Asian.
Blurton was sentenced to 10 months in prison.
