A petition calling for the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when he visits the UK has passed 100,000 signatures.

The petition states: “Benjamin Netanyahu is to hold talks in London later this month.

“Under international law he should be arrested for war crimes upon arrival in the UK for the massacre of over 2,000 civilians in 2014”.

The exact number of signatories currently stands at 103,671.

The Government responded last month to the petition stating that Netanyahu has “legal immunity” from prosecution.

Now that the petition has reached 100,000 signatures, the issue will be considered for debate in Parliament.
