Islamophobic Quran burner Valentina Gomez banned from entering UK for far-right rally

The infamous US-based Qur’an desecrator and MAGA influencer Valentina Gomez has had her UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) revoked following a decision by the Home Office, meaning she will be blocked from attending a far-right rally in central London in May.

Valentina Gomez had previously been granted entry to the UK to attend a far-right rally scheduled in London on May 16 organised by fellow Islamophobe Tommy Robinson.

The decision to revoke her UK electronic travel authorisation (ETA) from the Home Office came after a mass campaign online from 5Pillars and the UK Muslim community challenging the decision.

Following the original approval of her ETA, in a post on X, Gomez said: “VISA APPROVED. See you on 16 May in England. Keir Starmer, Shabana Mahmood and the UK Home Office, you’re only good at protecting Muslim rape gangs. Try to arrest me and see what happens. England belongs to the English. Not the Mohameds.”

According to The Guardian, UK Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood had intervened to withdraw the authorisation on the grounds that Gomez’s presence “would not be conducive to the public good”.

One of the main driving forces behind the mass campaign of public outcry to have Gomez banned was the apparent double standards behind the UK government’s decision.

In the past year, numerous prominent Muslim and anti-Israel figures had been blocked from entering the UK for the same reasons, including names such as Dr Shadee Elmasry, Dr Zakir Naik, Uthman ibn Farooq, amongst others.

Despite not having displayed any hateful behaviour such as burning holy scriptures and calling for crusades against an entire religion, these individuals were still denied entry without question.

Amongst public figures previously blocked entry for not being “conducive to the public good” was rapper Kanye West, now known as Ye, who was denied permission to travel to the UK earlier this month for a music festival. His ETA was withdrawn over concerns of alleged antisemitic comments, although Ye blamed them on his bipolar disorder.

Unite the Kingdom rally

Gomez, 26, had been in the UK in September 2025 to attend the last Unite The Kingdom Rally, a far-right hate march organised by notorious Islamophobe Tommy Robinson, real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon.

Gomez had taken to the stage during the protest in front of hundreds of thousands to warn the crowds that “rapist Muslims” were “taking over” the UK.

“England, they took your guns, they took your swords, and they raped your women. You have nothing else to lose, but there’s still hope. You are still the majority. So you either fight for this nation or you let all of these rapist Muslims and corrupt politicians take over,” she said.

She also addressed police officers, saying: “I need you to stop following orders because you know you are being told to look the other way while your country is being raped into submission.”

The rally marked the largest far-right protest of its type in British history.

Home Office reverses its decision

The Home Office, which has the power to cancel a person’s permission to enter or stay in the UK, had previously declined to comment when approached by 5Pillars on why Gomez had not been blocked from entering the UK.

Ten days ago, 5Pillars submitted evidence to the Home Office detailing her past incidents of hate speech against Muslims and immigrants, and challenged whether she would still be permitted to travel to the UK.

Changing course, a source close to the Home Secretary now said: “While we recognise the democratic right that people must be free to peacefully express their views, this does not include promoting hatred and extremist views.”

It is believed that Mahmood had faced mounting pressure over the last 48 hours to ban Gomez from entering the UK.

Muslims challenge the Home Office

Various Muslim MPs spoke up to challenge the government’s decision, such as Muslim MP for Birmingham Perry Barr, Ayoub Khan, who said in a statement on X: “6 million British Muslims are part of the fabric of this country. We can’t allow those who thrive on division to undermine that unity. The Home Office and Shabana Mahmood must act decisively with moral consistency! Ban this malign provocateur!”

Meanwhile, the MP for Blackburn, Adnan Hussain, submitted a letter to the Home Secretary urging her to review the decision to allow Valentina Gomez entry into the UK, warning against permitting her to spread hatred towards Britain’s Muslim community.

“The recent decision to deny entry to Kanye West, following remarks deemed harmful to the Jewish community, demonstrates a willingness to act where rhetoric is considered sufficiently dangerous. In light of that precedent, it is difficult to justify a failure to take equivalent action in other cases where similarly inflammatory, hate-filled and divisive language has been directed at different communities.

“Against this backdrop, I urge you to review the case of Ms Valentina Gomez as a matter of urgency. Her well-documented conduct raises serious concerns under the same principles that have guided recent Home Office decisions,” the letter said.

The Muslim Council of Britain also wrote to the Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood, saying: “The decision highlights a clear double standard in how freedom of speech is applied and can potentially lead to less safety and security on the streets of Britain.

“Others have been denied entry to the UK for rhetoric directed at different faith groups. This inconsistency raises serious concerns about whose speech is deemed unacceptable and who is permitted.”

Who is Valentina Gomez?

Gomez is a far-right provocateur, Christian, and MAGA influencer. She was born in Colombia and gained notoriety through her outlandish and public attacks on Islam.

In August last year, she burned the Qur’an and vowed to rid Texas of the religion if she was elected to Congress.

She has stated in a video on social media that her goal was to “end Islam in Texas.”

“Muslims can f*ck off to any of the 57 Muslim nations,” she said.

Gomez had even referred to the UK Home Secretary in a post on X in March 2026 as a “dirty” Muslim.

“No nation has ever benefitted from bringing in dirty Muslims like you (Shabana). You came to a Christian country and took an oath on the Qur’an.”

Gomez is yet to comment on the updated status of her ETA and subsequent blocked entry into the UK.
