Pakistan: Protests continue against alleged vote-rigging

Protests continue across Pakistan by demonstrators alleging vote-rigging in last week’s general election.

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and the Jamaat-e-Islami party, called on supporters to rally outside election commission offices.

“They’re the single largest group, and still we are being accused that we managed the rigging.”

Pakistan’s caretaker Prime Minister said election result delays were due to security concerns, and the poll was a “level-playing field” for all.
