Home Secretary vows to crack down on Muslims who travel to Iraq/Syria

    Theresa May stripped Hashi of his citizenship

    In her speech today to the Conservative Party conference Home Secretary Theresa May vowed to crack down on British Muslims who travel to Iraq and Syria to fight.

    In her 30 minute speech she said that ISIS presents a clear danger to Britain and must be destroyed. She said ISIS was attracting foreign fighters who were determined to attack the West.

    She also also vowed to:

    –  Reform stop and search laws.

    – Work to discourage British Muslims from travelling to Syria and Iraq.

    –  Strip people of passports if they travel to Iraq and Syria.

    – Prosecute those who participate in terrorist activities abroad.

    – Strengthen house arrest powers.

    – Strengthen communications snooping powers under the next Conservative government.

    – Defeat the “Islamic extremism” ideology.

    – Tackle “non-violent extremism.”

    – Introduce new banning orders for “extremist” groups even if they stay within the law.
