Black and Muslim: Double Jeopardy

Black Muslims complain of discrimination within the wider Muslim community

This short film by Turab Shah explores the intersectionality between racism and religious discrimination by capturing the experience of a number of Black British Muslim converts.

These individuals have the experience of anti-black racism as well as Islamophobia. The film explores the crossover between the two forms of discrimination and determines whether, in their experience, there are parallels and if so, what form they take.

The film also tries to understand which of the two has had a more significant and more detrimental impact on their lives.
