Prominent American Muslims denounced Islamophobia and urged Muslims to vote in the presidential elections at the ISNA (Islamic Society of North America) conference.
The event took place in September near Chicago in front of 10,000 people, but a video of the event has just been uploaded to YouTube.
Representatives of the Department of Homeland Security and the military were present and given a platform at the conference.
Meanwhile, Shaykh Yasir Qadhi laid into Donald Trump and the Republican Party and said it had been hijacked by bigots.
He criticised draconian anti-terror legislation and FBI entrapment tactics as well as drone strikes in Muslim countries.
And he expressed disappointment in President Obama for not shutting down Guantanamo Bay.
