Independent Muslim MPs have stepped up pressure on Secretary of State Shabana Mahmood and the Home Office, urging urgent action to block the planned arrival of US MAGA hate preacher and Quran burner Valentina Gomez.
Adnan Hussain and Ayoub Khan have led the charge amid mounting public anger over Gomez and her online trolling, as the Islamophobe boasts that Keir Starmer and Shabana Mahmood are “too scared” to bar her entry.
Gomez has announced plans to visit London to attend a far-right, Tommy Robinson-led rally titled “Unite The Kingdom” on May 16.
At a rally in September 2025, Gomez launched a tirade against Islam and Muslims, calling on English people to “fight or die” against “Muslim rapists and terrorists.”
“It’s either now or never, because if these rapist Muslims take over, they will not only rape your women, they will behead your sons, just like they did on October 7th in Israel,” she told the cheering crowd.
“So, we either fight now or we die. And we’re fighters, we are warriors of Jesus Christ. And in the words of the great Charlie Kirk, Islam is the sword that the left is using to destroy Christian nations and to destroy every Christian nation across the world. So, do not make peace with evil. Destroy it!”
On April 18, Ayoub Khan, the MP for Birmingham Perry Barr, posted on X: “6 million British Muslims are part of the fabric of this country. We can’t allow those who thrive on division to undermine that unity. The Home Office and Shabana Mahmood must act decisively with moral consistency! Ban this malign provocateur!”

Meanwhile, the MP for Blackburn, Adnan Hussain, submitted a letter to the Home Secretary urging her to review the decision to allow Valentina Gomez entry into the UK, warning against permitting her to spread hatred towards Britain’s Muslim community.

“As a matter of principle, I am cautious about the use of such powers in a way that may constrain freedom of expression. Open debate, even when robust or controversial, is a cornerstone of our democratic system and should not be curtailed lightly. However, where the Government has determined that certain forms of speech cross a threshold, posing risks to public order or the safety and dignity of minority communities, it is essential that this standard is applied consistently and without exception.
“The recent decision to deny entry to Kanye West, following remarks deemed harmful to the Jewish community, demonstrates a willingness to act where rhetoric is considered sufficiently dangerous. In light of that precedent, it is difficult to justify a failure to take equivalent action in other cases where similarly inflammatory, hate-filled and divisive language has been directed at different communities.
“Against this backdrop, I urge you to review the case of Ms Valentina Gomez as a matter of urgency. Her well-documented conduct raises serious concerns under the same principles that have guided recent Home Office decisions. To ensure consistency, uphold public confidence, and send a clear message that the United Kingdom will not tolerate the importation of hate, regardless of its target, I ask that you exercise the use of exclusionary powers in this instance, and revoke her visa.”
On April 9, shortly after Gomez announced her planned visit, 5Pillars submitted evidence to the Home Office detailing her past incidents of hate speech against Muslims and immigrants, and challenged whether she would still be permitted to travel to the UK.
After a week of deliberation, a press officer informed 5Pillars that the Home Office would not be issuing any statement.
On the same day, Gomez posted on X, claiming she had been granted a UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA), a mandatory digital travel permit for visa-exempt visitors.
In the post, Gomez wrote: “VISA APPROVED. See you on 16 May in England. Keir Starmer, Shabana Mahmood and the UK Home Office, you’re only good at protecting Muslim rape gangs. Try to arrest me and see what happens. England belongs to the English. Not the Mohameds.”
History of hate
Gomez has a long history of inciting hate towards Muslims in America and Europe.
In September 2025, at the Unite the Kingdom rally, Gomez urged for the mass expulsion of Muslims from the UK and branded Prime Minister Keir Starmer “the biggest paedophile protector in history.”
“England belongs to the English. It’s either now or never, because if these rapists Muslims take over, they will not only rape your women, they will behead your sons, just like they did on October 7th in Israel,” she told the cheering crowd.
“So, we either fight now or we die. And we’re fighters, we are warriors of Jesus Christ. And in the words of the great Charlie Kirk, Islam is the sword that the left is using to destroy Christian nations and to destroy every Christian nation across the world. So, do not make peace with evil. Destroy it. And we need a new prime minister that has guts and that’s gonna stand up for the British and send all of these rapists Muslims and dirty rugs back to their Sharia nations.”

In December 2024, she released a campaign video showing the mock execution of a hooded immigrant effigy while calling for “public executions” of undocumented migrants. Social media platforms restricted the footage for violent content.
In August 2025, Gomez sparked widespread condemnation in America after posting a video of herself burning a copy of the Quran with a flamethrower.
She routinely smears Muslims collectively of being “rapists”, “pedophiles” and “terrorists” online and at various events she attends.
In a recent X post published in March 2026, Gomez verbally abused the UK’s Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood as a “dirty” Muslim.
“No nation has ever benefitted from bringing in in dirty Muslims like you (Shabana). You came to a Christian country and took and oath on the Quran.”
It is believed that her speech planned for the next far-right rally in May, would similarly obsessively focus on inciting against Britain’s Muslims. The UK is currently experiencing a sharp rise in Islamophobic hate as far-right and pro-Israel forces, such as Tommy Robinson and Reform UK, peddle hate and fear to increase their own popularity.
