Plymouth woman admits urinating in front of praying Muslim family

Plymouth Crown Court

A 36-year-old woman has admitted urinating in front of a Muslim family who were praying in a Devon park, the Western Morning News reports.

Claire Farrell pleaded guilty to religiously-aggravated threatening and abusive behaviour causing harassment at Plymouth Crown Court on Monday.

The 36-year-old committed the offence, which she had previously denied, on August 16.

She pulled her trousers down and urinated in front of the couple, who were with their 10-year-old son and eight-year-old daughter, in Central Park.

Natalie Richardson, 32, has also admitted the racially-aggravated offence having been jointly charged with Farrell.

Mother-of-three Richardson, also of Peel Street, also pleaded guilty to common assault after pushing a passer-by in the chest.

The case has been put off for pre-sentence reports. Farrell is due back in court on November 27.
