Petition demanding Benjamin Netanyahu’s arrest passes 48k signatures

A petition calling for the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when he visits the UK has passed 48,000 signatures.

The petition states: “Benjamin Netanyahu is to hold talks in London this September.

“Under international law he should be arrested for war crimes upon arrival in the UK for the massacre of over 2,000 civilians in 2014”.

The exact number of signatories currently stands at 48,700.

The Government usually responds to all petitions that get more than 10,000 signatures.

Once the petition reaches 100,000 signatures, the issue will be considered for debate in Parliament.
