A man who allegedly chanted “Allah is a p**do” at far-right rallies has been exposed as a convicted child sex offender, the Daily Record reports.
Kristopher Allan, 32, is an active member of the Islamophobic Scottish Defence League (SDL) and was one of around 40 protesters at a rally last December.
The Daily Record says that he and other demonstrators chanted “f*** off refugees” and “Allah is a p**do”.
The newspaper also reports that Allan has a conviction for sending indecent messages and photos, and having sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl at his home 10 years ago.
Allan was reportedly given a two-year probation order after admitting to the offence and had his name added to the sex offenders’ register for two years.
Three months after the rally in Edinburgh, Allan was apparently arrested for causing fear or alarm to his partner by shouting and swearing and threatening violence to a police officer.
He was sentenced to a community payback order with two years’ supervision and a 30-month non-harassment order, the paper says.
