In a reaction to Donald Trump’s election victory, American Muslim scholar Shaykh Yasir Qadhi says America has elected a racist, xenophobic, misogynistic bigot as President.
Shaykh Yasir says American Muslims are currently in shock and fear and Islamophobia and bigotry have become mainstream.
He also says that Trump’s election proves that democracy is flawed and that American Muslims can no longer afford to be quietist. Instead, they must be politically-engaged.
