“The Truth Hurts” – Louisa Butt catches up with Aamer Rahman

    Aamer Rahman is a Bangladeshi born in the Middle East and raised in Australia.

    Louisa Butt interviews comedian Aamer Rahman when he came to Manchester to do his first solo show in the UK – “The Truth Hurts” .

    An international comedy competition finalist Rahman, who also has a law degree, is an accomplished stand up. Since 2008 he has sold out a 2012 UK tour with Fear of a Brown Planet, performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe and the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

    Rahman is an Australian TV staple, with credits including Oxfam Comedy Gala, You Have Been Watching and the Aussie version of Balls of Steel. He is also a regular at “Political Asylum”, Melbourne’s topical stand-up comedy night.
