There has been a military coup in Egypt following a huge demonstration against the Muslim Brotherhood. The army that is currently running the country is financed by the US and is safeguarding western and Israeli interests. The Muslim Brotherhood has been overthrown but retains a large street support. The opposition is also fractured and it’s uncertain where their loyalties and principles lie.
