Sunni lecturer Adnan Rashid challenges Ammar Nakshawani to debate

The prominent Ahle Hadith lecturer Adnan Rashid has challenged Dr Ammar Nakshawani to a public debate about the companions of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

In a rebuttal to Dr Nakshawani’s controversial recent video in which he called some of the Prophet’s most prominent companions “terrorists,” Rashid said Dr Nakshawani had quoted selectively from Islamic sources and had made a false link with modern day terrorism.

Rashid said his aim was not to provoke sectarian rifts between the Sunni and Shia traditions, but rather to have a mutually respectful discussion.
