After Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces, General Abdul Fatah al-Sisi urged the public to take to the streets against “terrorists”, numerous media reports have indicated that 139 people have been killed and over 4000 were injured in Nasr City between Friday and Saturday. Since the ousting of Egypt’s first democratically elected president, Mohamed Morsi earlier this month, Muslim Brotherhood supporters have been holding peaceful sit-in protests in Nasr City and around the Rabaa al Adawiya area against the military coup.
