No woman, No drive: Arabic rock band parody the Saudi women driving ban

    Arabic rock band Hayajan have made a controversial parody on the driving ban for women in Saudi Arabia.

    They copied Bob Marley’s “No woman, No cry” and made indirect reference to the fatwa (religious edict) issued by Saudi scholar, Sheikh Saleh bin Saad al-Luhaydan who said driving cars can damage a woman’s ovary and pelvis. You can read the full article here:

    The group formed in 2011 by cappella singer Alaa Wardi, consisting of four Jordanian members and one Saudi Arabia-based Iranian.
