Nazma Khan – “Why I started World Hijab Day”

    Nazma Khan talks about the persecution she faced in school due to her hijab and why she started World Hijab Day.

    Today Muslim (non-hijabi) and non-Muslim women participate in a worldwide event by wearing the hijab for a day.

    In this video, Nazma briefly describes the difficulties she experienced in school and later college in New York for wearing the hijab, where she was verbally and physically attacked by her school peers and teachers.

    This is the second annual World Hijab Day.
