The video comes ahead of the upcoming local and European elections on May 22 and the call reflects the opinion of the majority of mainstream British Muslim organisations and scholars.
However, prominent groups like Hizb ut Tahrir have always rejected the concept of voting in a non-Muslim system as un-Islamic and ineffective.
