EXCLUSIVE: Ibtihal Bsis – The siren and a piece of missile in Syria

    Having travelled to Syria since 2004 alone with her children, Ibtihal Bsis finally crossed the Syrian border with her husband, who was wanted by the Assad regime, for the first time after the revolution.

    She has since made the same journey in 2013, and has just returned from the region.

    This video was filmed in Syria, as Ibtihal experiences first hand the threat of war planes sent by Bashar Al Assad.

    Ibtihal shares her thoughts and emotions about the deepening revolution as the situation worsens.

    Libyan by origin and married to a Syrian, Ibtihal Bsis has been travelling to Syria since 2004 where she improved her tajweed and studied the Quran in the mosques of Aleppo.

    Ibtihal is the Women’s Deputy Representative of Hizb ut Tahrir and a barrister by profession. She is a mother of four children.

    Her account comes after warplanes visit the area in which she staying.
