Iranian leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has warned the United States and Israel that they will definitely receive a crushing response for their atrocities.
“The enemies, both the U.S. and the Zionist regime, should know that they will definitely receive a teeth-breaking response for what they are doing against Iran and the resistance front,” he said in a meeting with students on Saturday.
Iranian officials have pledged to avenge Israel’s targeting of two Iranian border provinces, Ilam and Khuzestan, as well as central Tehran in the early hours of October 26. The Israeli attack resulted in the deaths of four Iranian soldiers.
“This is not merely a matter of revenge but a logical action — an approach aligned with religion, ethics, and the Shari’ah, in accordance with international regulations,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.
“We are certainly doing everything necessary to prepare the Iranian nation to stand against arrogance, whether in terms of military readiness, armaments, or political actions and thank God, our officials are currently engaged in this,” the leader said.
The overall movement of the Iranian people and the country’s officials, he said, is “definitely and justly aimed at confronting global arrogance and the criminal apparatus that rules today’s world order. Rest assured, there will be no negligence in this regard.”
“The Iranian people and the country’s officials will not hesitate or neglect this course. Rest assured.”

Meanwhile, the chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) also warned the United States and Israel that they will receive a “tooth-breaking response” from the regional resistance groups for any acts of aggression and mischief.
Major General Hossein Salami made the remarks in a statement on Sunday to commemorate the National Day of the Fight against Global Arrogance, also known as the National Student Day, which marks the 1979 takeover of the US Embassy by Iranian university students in the capital Tehran.
Salami said the Israeli atrocities, perpetrated under the command and all-round support of the administration in Washington, against the strategic region of West Asia, not least the innocent people in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, are regarded as the “biggest and most valid reason and justification for the loss of American human rights.”
“We warn the enemy number 1 of the Iranian nation and the rabid dog of that terrorist and criminal regime that the Islamic resistance in the region, by the grace of God and with the help of the courage of the combatants and the faithful warriors who maintain the upper hand in the current military field, will give a tooth-breaking response to the wickedness front,” the statement said.
“On this path, the resistance front and Islamic Iran will equip themselves with everything necessary to confront and triumphantly overcome the enemy… with no fear of the threats and saber-rattling of the thugs ruling Washington and Tel Aviv.”
Delivering a speech at the ceremony, the chief commander of the IRGC censured the United States as the source of all crimes and atrocities across the world and said Washington and Tel Aviv are inching toward their downfall.
“America is a contradictory identity in the world, while it talks about democracy, freedom, prosperity, security, human rights, world order and global peace, it is the source of all political and military disarray in the world, the source of all crimes, massacres, aggression, and occupation in the world,” Salami said.
Stressing that the Americans and Israelis have come completely close to their twilight, Salami said: “We always warn them that if they do not change their behaviour, they will move toward collapse and destruction [as] this is the will of the Islamic Ummah and will gradually prevail.”
The IRGC’s chief commander also underlined that the fate of the West Asia region will be determined by Muslims, saying: “There is no possibility of American domination over the Islamic world.”
The Israeli military says the country is at a “high level of readiness” for a response from Iran. But a source told CNN that they are “still assessing the decision-making process in Iran” to determine if and when a retaliation will take place.
White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre on Wednesday said Iran should not respond to Israel’s strikes on its territory, adding that “if Iran does choose to respond, however, the U.S. will be standing by to assist Israel in its defence.”
