Thousands of mourners attended the funeral of a taxi driver who was among six people that died in a horrific car crash in Birmingham.
Imtiaz Mohammed was on his last job of the night when his cab tragically got caught up in a crash on Lee Bank Middleway, in Birmingham.
The father-of-six was laid to rest yesterday after a service at Birmingham’s Central Mosque.
The service is believed to have been the biggest funeral ever held at the mosque, as many were unable to get inside to pray.
Mr Mohammed had just spoken to his wife Nargas Gul minutes before his black taxi collided with an Audi S3 on Lee Bank Middleway.
Muhammad Afzal, chairman of the mosque, said: “Thousands of people attended and we prayed both for the assembly and for Imtiaz, may he rest in peace.
“People are very upset because in Birmingham, this was the worst road accident we’ve had for many years.

“A lot of people are asking for some review of the speed limits and what safety measures can be put in place on the road, so that this does not happen again.”
