Cardiff pupil Hannah Yusuf has achieved an amazing 13 A* grades in her GCSE results. She will now go on to study five A-levels at Kings Monkton school’s sixth-form.
Hannah, 16 then hopes to study medicine at university.
On the same day, her younger sister Amani picked up 2 A*s and 3As on Thursday, having taken five exams a year early
Hannah told Wales Online: “The past two years have indeed been full of hard work and many late nights. It will be a time I’ll always look back on; two years of hard work, joy, excitement and relief.
“I have worked very hard to achieve these grades but I couldn’t have done it without the support of my amazing teachers at Kings Monkton who were always willing to help at any time for any matter.”
She added: “It was the culmination of two years of hard work. I even started crying with joy. It still hasn’t sunk in just yet. It just seems so surreal. I finally got the results I’ve always thought was a dream.
“I’m not sure what I’m doing to celebrate yet, perhaps catch up on yesterday’s sleepless night.”

Proud mum Intisar Ibrahim said her daughters “totally deserved” their impressive results.
She said: “I feel very proud of them! I’ve always said to my girls, they should always try their best in everything they do and that alone will make me proud. That’s all I ask. But getting straight A*’s exceeded all of my expectations.
