Lutfur Rahman speech: I may have fallen but I am not broken

    The ousted mayor of Tower Hamlets Lutfur Rahman defends his record in office in this speech to a packed audience in East London on Thursday.

    He says that:

    – The people of Tower Hamlets freely and fairly voted him into office.

    – The establishment ganged up on him, inventing smear stories to hound him out of office.

    – He can’t believe this has happened in world’s oldest democracy.

    – “I may have fallen but I am not broken.”
