Five men who left Britain last year have been shown on CCTV footage leaving for Syria via Turkey to join the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS).
The group, which called itself the “Britani Brigade Bangladeshi Bad Boys”, bought tickets on Thomas Cook to the Turkish resort of Antalya in October 2013.
The group’s members have been identified by the police as Muhammad Hamidur Rahman, 25, Mashadur Choudhury, 31, Assad Uzzaman, 25, Mehdi Hassan, 19, and Mamunur Roshid, all from Portsmouth.
10 months later, Rahman, who had worked at Primark, died in a gun battle last month, while Choudhury is in prison, convicted of travelling to Syria to receive terrorist training.
British security services will be re-interviewing Mashudur Choudhury, as it is believed that he may have came in contact with the suspected killer of U.S. journalist, James Foley whose beheading video sparked a manhunt by UK authorities.
