WATCH: Influential Muslim YouTuber Mohamed Hijab has claimed he has received a ‘threat’ and is being ‘blackmailed’ by someone who ‘knows Elon Musk very well.’
Hijab says the alleged threat comes following his online criticism of Musk, the billionaire owner of Tesla and SpaceX, via the social media platform X.
Musk has been outspoken in recent weeks on controversial subjects including the right-wing’s politicised narrative on the UK’s grooming gang scandal and the Islamophobic far-right summer riots of 2024.
Many of Musk’s comments in support of far-right convict Tommy Robinson has sparked a wave of criticism online, including from many British Muslims.
Although Hijab didn’t reveal the name of the person issuing the threat, he warned that he will expose the individual if it is in the “strategic interest” of the Muslims to do so.
