Amsterdam violence: Israel is now waging war against Muslims in Europe

AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - NOVEMBER 7: Fans of Maccabi Tel Aviv stage a pro-Israel demonstration at the Dam Square, lighting up flares and chanting slogans ahead of the UEFA Europa League match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Ajax in Amsterdam, Netherlands on November 07, 2024. Maccabi fans clashed with pro-Palestinian citizens and ripped off Palestinian flags hung on the streets. In light of the Israeli football hooliganism in Amsterdam, Jahangir Mohammed of the Ayaan Institute says Muslims must realise that Zionism/Israel is not just waging a war in the Middle East, but also a war in Europe by instigating hate and xenophobia against Muslim communities.

What happened in Amsterdam on Thursday was a typical fascist/far-right strategy for initiating hate and violence against a minority community, and to then portray the instigators as victims and generate propaganda against the target community as violent aggressors.

This in turn is intended to lead to legal action and demands for laws against the targeted community (Muslims).

We saw this strategy with the 2001 BNP-instigated Northern riots, the Leicester disturbances in 2018, and this summer’s attacks in the UK against Muslim communities and immigrants.

The mainstream media and authorities always tend to side with the majority community or those with the influence that can shape the narrative.

This is the strategy sometimes adopted by ideological supporters of White supremacy, Hindutva supremacy, and Jewish/Israeli supremacy. We have also seen some pro-Israel supporters trying to provoke violence against Palestinian demonstrators and tarnish marches as violent, hateful or antisemitic, hoping for a reaction in the UK and U.S.

Most Israeli citizens are IDF-trained reservists and have now been radicalised with a genocidal hate ideology against Arabs, Palestinians and Muslims. Therefore, among the Israeli Maccabi fans, there were always likely to be some who have participated in the horrors in Gaza and the West Bank.

Israeli newspapers also report the presence of Mossad operatives among Israeli fans. So it is not surprising that anti-Palestinian and anti-Arab chants were made and violent acts took place. There is now plenty of testimony of the racial hatred displayed by some Israeli football hooligans/genocidal maniacs.

Equally, there were a lot of Arabs and non-Muslims angry about the genocide and horrors taking place. In a city with a lot of Arabs and Muslims, there was bound to be a reaction to any genocidal and hate chants. It was a recipe for chaos.

The Dutch authorities should have expected this, protected the local communities and stopped any racist hate chanting and violence. Initial eyewitness reports indicate the police did not protect local Arab communities from Israeli hate (although we await the outcome of investigations).

Mainstream media lies

Israel’s propaganda machine, in partnership with the Western mainstream media, has wasted no time in portraying the events as antisemitic and ridiculously as a “pogrom,” omitting the anti-Arab and anti-Palestinian acts that took place. The Western media which normally berates football hooliganism, cannot even describe some Israel fans as football hooligans, let alone Arab-hating racists.

The Arab and non-Arab communities in Amsterdam did not realise there was a fascist strategy at play and in some cases defended themselves, but in others could have clearly  shown more restraint.

But in a country with a Zionist/Israel-supporting leader like Geert Wilders, Muslim communities will be targeted by the police and new laws proposed, which we guess was the intended outcome along with propaganda for Zionism and Israel. However, we must ask questions as to why the police did not separate Israeli fans away from their opponents and Muslim communities.

It is high time Muslim communities in Europe realise that Zionism/Israel is not just waging a war in the Middle East, but a war in Europe. Instigating hate and xenophobia against Muslim communities and pushing for legislation is part of their propaganda and anti-Palestinian war strategy. Western politicians assist them with their propaganda and legal strategy, often deliberately.

However, the root cause of this issue rests with UEFA and the footballing authorities. A country that is in an International Court of Justice for genocide against Arabs, that has slaughtered tens of thousands of men women and children, and that has no respect for international law should not be in the competition in the first place.

The footballing authorities, the Dutch security services, and the police need to be held accountable for their failure to act against Israel, and not predict what would happen.

So much for the football authorities slogan of “Kick Racism out of Football” if they can’t even recognise that genocide is in most cases the worst form of racism. Will they now take action against Israel for the racist genocidal chanting and behaviour of their supporters?

I think we all know the answer to that.
