Israel targeting Gaza’s historical heritage – more than 200 sites destroyed

Israeli occupation forces have reportedly destroyed more than 200 of the 325 registered archeological and ancient sites in Gaza over the past three months, including the Great Omari Mosque and the Byzantine church in Jabaliya.

Human rights group Euro-Med Monitor says the Israeli army is “explicitly targeting Palestinian cultural heritage.”
