Syrian war film ‘For Sama’ wins Best Documentary at BAFTA awards

The Syrian war film ‘For Sama’ won Best Documentary at the BAFTA awards on Sunday night.

For Sama made history when it was nominated in four categories in the BAFTA awards, making it the most nominated documentary ever.

The documentary which was written and directed by Syrian activist and journalist Waad Al-Kateab was also nominated for Best British Film, Foreign Language Film and Debut British Writer, Director or Producer.
