A woman from the West Midlands has been convicted after racially abusing a Muslim member of staff in Debenhams.
Toneeta Beckford, 33, told the Muslim woman “go back to your country you f**king Muslim” after a disagreement about a returned item last July.
The 33-year-old racist also grabbed the staff member by the wrist during her hate-filled tirade at the Debenhams store in Oxford Street, London.
The victim, who has asked 5Pillars not to name her, was wearing the hijab at the time.
She told Westminster Magistrates’ Court: “I tried to write on the receipt. I moved to the other side and she grabs my wrist and pulls me towards her.
“When I gave her the receipt back that was when she said go back to your country you f*cking Muslim.
“I told her I was born here. She started saying something about the London Bridge attack.

“I was terrified because I have never heard that before.”
Beckford told the court that the dispute “should not have gone that far”.
She had denied religiously aggravated assault but was convicted in January.
Beckford who is from Smethwick, West Midlands, was handed a 12-month community order with a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement.
She was also ordered to pay costs of £300, a victim surcharge of £85 and compensation of £50.
