An anti Muslim yob has been fined for abusing a group of Muslims in the street in Worcester.
Neil Hotchkiss launched into the foul-mouthed rant before he was confronted by locals and filmed by a nearby stallholder.
The 44-year-old avoided jail but was handed a community order for religiously aggravated actions causing harassment, alarm or distress.
A video of his tirade shows Hotchkiss telling one victim: “Your sort are not welcome.” When the man insists he is English and tells Hotchkiss he won’t be bullied, Hotchkiss replies: “What are you going to do about it, you going to blow something up are you?”
Hotchkiss then tells the man: “Mate, you make me feel terrible about England. And you’re not here for very long.”
Street vendor, Selasie Clarke, who filmed the incident, said: “He started to say, ‘your kind are not welcome here, in this country.’ He was ranting on and saying a lot of horrible stuff. It was just horrendous.”
At Worcester Magistrates’ Court, Hotchkiss was handed a community order for 12 months and ordered to wear an electronic monitoring tag until October.
