Mr Shahid is accused of being an accessory to murder.
Ms Shahid was found dead in Poteh, in northern Punjab, on July 20, after going to the village to visit her father.
It is believed she was lured to Poteh by being told her father was ill.
She was then murdered because she refused to divorce her second husband, Mukhtar Syed Kazam, and remarry Shakeel, according to Kazam, whom she married in 2014.
