Detectives name man being hunted after woman murdered in Bradford

Danish Irfan

Detectives investigating the murder of a woman, 21, in Bradford have released this picture of a man they want to quiz.

They named him as Danish Irfan, 21, and said he is wanted in connection with the killing of the woman, whose body was found at a house in Alford Terrace, Lidget Green on Monday.

The woman has not been formally identified but is believed by police to be Ridda Zanab.

Irfan is described as Asian, about 5ft 10ins tall, and slim. His hair is now shorter than in the picture and his sideburns are more pointed.

Detective Superintendent Mark Ridley, who is leading the murder probe, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who believes they may have seen Mr Irfan or who has information about his whereabouts. Similarly, if Mr Irfan sees or hears this appeal himself, I would ask that he makes contact with us.

“At this time it is believed that he could be anywhere in the UK and may be trying to leave the country. Members of the public are urged not to approach Mr Irfan but to call police immediately if they think they have seen him.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, or 999 in an emergency. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
