Staff and pupils at an Islamic faith school in Portsmouth were horrified after they found a pigs’ head tied with a hateful note at the school gate.

The shocking discovery was made yesterday morning at the Madani Academy in Lake Road, Landport.

A man dropping off his niece and other staff members were shocked.

He told Portsmouth News: “Dropping off a member of my family today to the Portsmouth Madani School I was disgusted to find it.

“The school is very hurt by this and children and adults where very disturbed and scared.”

The pig’s head had an offensive message with it about “Allah” with a swastika drawn on it.

Luthufur Rahman, in charge at the school, said: “We’re upset. We’re really upset.”
