She was suspended for 15 months in 2025 pending investigation by the General Medical Council for her social media comments.

She is strongly pro-Palestinian/anti-Israel and supports Palestinian armed resistance.

She is highly critical of what she calls “Jewish supremacy” and claims she is being targeted by the “Jewish/Israeli lobby” and defends her posts as political speech.

Her critics accuse her of expressing support for Hamas and other proscribed groups, praising or justifying terrorist violence and posting antisemitic statements and conspiracy theories.

She denies being antisemitic and says her posts are legitimate political speech about Palestine and Israel.

Hamas is currently a proscribed (banned) terrorist organisation in the UK. This means it is illegal under the Terrorism Act 2000 to:

  • Belong to the group
  • Invite or express support for it
  • Organise meetings in its support
  • Display symbols or items that suggest support
