A Muslim woman was assaulted in front of her children by Chelsea fans after last Sunday’s game with Arsenal, according to Tell Mama.
The incident occurred at around 6pm, when the mother was sitting at a bus-stop in Wembley Central.
Her 16 year old and 7 year old daughter was with her. She was wearing the Hijab and some Chelsea fans walked by her and then assaulted her with what she says was an umbrella or a football flag that had been rolled up. She was hit with the item.
The assault stopped but another Chelsea fan swore at her, calling her a ‘bomber’.
The fans walked off leaving the mother in pain.
The assault was severe enough for the Muslim mother to have to take pain-killers.
Tell Mama have passed on details to the police and will also be contacting Chelsea FC for an urgent meeting on this matter.
