Prevent is the UK government’s counter extremism strategy which supposedly tackles Muslim radicalisation. It is now mandatory for public service bodies – such as schools and universities – to watch out for the “signs of extremism.” But many British Muslims say PREVENT is nothing but State Islamophobia.
