US soldiers praise Jesus as they prepare for holy war

The US invaded Iraq in 2003.

US soldiers in uniform sing, dancing and worship at Camp Pendleton in California.

As the US prepares to lead a coalition into war against the Islamic State, the US soldiers chant “There’s no God like Jehovah!” “There’s no God like Jehovah!” over and over again while exuberantly singing a Christian “worship song” called “Days Of Elijah.”

Such displays could serve to reinforce the notion that the new war against the Islamic State is in reality a Holy War, a war of Christians against Muslims.

The following is a sample of the lyrics:

These are the days of Elijah

Declaring the word of the Lord, yeah

And these are the days of Your servant, Moses

    Righteousness being restored

These are the days of great trials

Of famine and darkness and sword

Still we are the voice in the desert crying

Prepare ye the way of the Lord!
