Islamophobia Awards 2015: Get voting!

Centred around a gala dinner, the Islamophobia Awards have both a light-hearted and a serious side – to be entertaining and to raise awareness of a serious and growing prejudice.

Real awards are given to those who have battled against Islamophobia – often against enormous odds. This year’s event will feature the acclaimed comedian Aamer Rahman doing live stand up – Aamer was named as one of The Guardian’s top 10 comedy shows of 2014.

He has performed at the Sydney Opera House and was one of the recipients of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Best Newcomer Award.

The awards are decided upon by the public – they pick who is nominated and then they get to vote for who wins!

    The categories this year are:

    • UK
    • News Media
    • Film/Book
    • International

Nominations can be made here: https://ow.ly/HD3Vf (this will be closed at the end of the week and then the voting process will commence)
