The legal representative of Abdul Qauder Molla and Jamaat-e-Islami, Toby Cadman responds to the execution of his client.
In the press conference, Cadman refers to the Molla’s execution as a “politically motivated judicial murder” and calls upon the international community to hold to account Sheikh Hasina’s “deplorable government” for not meeting any international standards during the legal process.
Cadman also urged for an international inquiry into the legal case of Molla and others awaiting the death penalty or imprisoned for life. He said that the international community are to blame for failing Molla and the people of Bangladesh.
