Syria-based Akif Razaq says he’s had British citizenship revoked

A British Muslim who is currently in Syria has said his British citizenship has been revoked.

In an interview in Syria with the journalist and activist Bilal Abdul Kareem, Akif Razaq said police had been to his house in Birmingham and had informed his relatives that his citizenship had been taken a way because he was a “threat.”

Razaq says he originally came to Syria with an aid convoy and went back to the country to help Syrians who are being oppressed.
